Onedome hires Akram as head of new homes and partnerships – Mortgage Strategy

Onedome hired Mobeen Akram as the leader of new homes and partnerships.

The homebuying platform said she will lead the company’s partnership with home builders, focusing on connecting mortgages, transfers and insurance services with developers.

Akram joined the Mortgage Advision Bureau, where she worked for five years, leaving behind a new home director.

Onedome founder and CEO Babek Ismayil said: “She [Akram’s] Good relationships in building strong relationships with home builders and growing in the new home market are second to none.

“With our integrated mortgage and legal services platform, we are in a unique position to support developers and their clients, and Mobeen is the ideal candidate to lead this fee.”

“I spent most of my career working with home builders and I knew directly about the importance of the frictionless buying process,” Akram added.

Founded in 2017, Onedome purchased a digital mortgage broker formerly known as Trussle, which is now trading at Better.co.uk for undisclosed payments in May.

This comes after the “seven-digit amount” of the acquisition of Coreco Group in December.

In recent years, the business has made a series of other acquisitions, including Nethouseprices, mortgage and financial consulting business contractor wealth management, CMME mortgage and protection and Albany Park.
