Allstate provides customers with more than $37 billion in loss recovery

Northbrook, Illinois, May 13, 2025 – Allstate Chief Claims Officer Mike Fiato testified to Allstate in the U.S. Senate today how Allstate helps clients recover from unexpected losses. He highlighted the company’s proactive proposition and commitment to helping clients rebuild from increasingly destructive and inclement weather events.
“Allstate’s 23,000 claims team serves 8.4 million customer claims each year. In 2024, the company provided customers with more than $37 billion, including $4.6 billion in disasters related to 132 disasters,” Fiato said. “Allstate helps them start rebuilding their lives by organizing shelters, providing clothing and allocating funds to help them start rebuilding their lives, allowing thousands of people to serve their customers after the disaster. Allstate customers affected by California wildfires in January received $945 million.”
One in 10 households in the United States rely on Allstate to protect one of their most valuable assets and have affordable, simple and connected insurance. Over the past five years, Allstate has paid more than $20 billion to help customers rebuild after bad weather events.
“U.S. insurers put customers first every day, providing guidance and timely payments,” said Neil Alldredge, president and CEO of the National Association of Coinsurers. “The rapid response to the recent California wildfires and Hurricane Helen shows a strong commitment to aircraft carriers to help people recover and rebuild as soon as possible.”
