25 Ways to Save Pet Cost

How to save pet supplies

  1. Use a mobile veterinarian or a local vaccination clinic for the vaccine.
  2. Buy the vaccine at Farm & Fleet and manage it yourself (this does not apply to rabies vaccines).
  3. Brush your teeth at home, clip your nails and groom.
  4. Make your own dog and cat food and start from scratch at home.
  5. Buy food in large quantities, as larger bags are usually cheaper per pound.
  6. Use horse pellet bedding or chicken feed as cat litter.
  7. Pick up a free bag of stuffed animals in a well-meaning puppy instead of buying full price toys.
  8. Cut the snack in half.
  9. Trading pet services with friends, not paying for boarding.
  10. Make your own pet bed with reused pillows and blankets.
  11. Order fleas online and check medications (petbucket.com, petshed.com or vetshopmax.com).
  12. Adopt your pet from the rescue center and will cover Spay/Neuter.

  14. Fill out the prescription at Costco.
  15. Subscribe with Amazon and save your regular purchases.
