HTB hires Director of Development Finance Operations – Mortgage Strategy

Hampshire Trust has appointed Philip Gould as its Director of Credit Operations for Development Finance.
Gould joined Avamore Capital, chief lending officer responsible for overseeing strategy and decisions on complex development agreements.
He has over 14 years of credit experience, including previous positions at peer-to-peer providers and prior to Barclays.
In his new role at HTB, Gould will work closely with portfolio management and credit quality assurance to fund SME developers and their brokers.
He will report directly to Neil Leitch, managing director of Development Finance.
“We built a team that really understands what SME developers need from lenders,” Leach said.
“This is by no means providing capital.
“It’s about staying reliable, staying engaged throughout the journey and helping to keep track when an accident happens.
Philip brought a lot of experience and a very stable hand.
“He understands how to build operational power without adding unnecessary friction.”
Gould said: “HTB builds a good reputation by focusing on the details that really matter.
“I work on a range of lenders and what always stands out in the best operations team is their ability to support growth without compromising quality.
“The powerful process across functions, clear communication and mutual respect are what makes this possible.”
