Spring Break 2025-Retirement 40

Hey, everyone!
Hope you enjoy spring break! This year, we are flying to my brother and his family in North Carolina. I haven’t seen my nephew and niece in a while, so I’m really looking forward to it. There aren’t many plans for this trip. We might visit Raleigh and West Grove (the small pottery town), but that’s all. If you can recommend a good place near Raleigh, let me know in the comments section.
Anyway, I’m going to take a few weeks off. There have been a lot of negative effects lately and I need to reset it.
Here are some pictures to cheer everyone up.
This is the pastry case for Portland Champagne Poems. We tried lychee and peach cake. They are great and serious. I highly recommend the pastry here. If you are in town, check it out. The food was not impressive, though.

Spring has arrived in Portland! The camellia trees near us are beautiful. After a long winter, it was a welcome sight.

My latest bowl. The buttery yellow bowl was originally a small chawan (matcha tea bowl), but it was too big, so I turned it into an ikebana vase.

Matcha and chocolate croissants. Yum.

Spring break is great! Do you have any interesting plans? Go to UCSB for the Delta?
