Geico sues false statements in accident forgiveness program

GEICO’s accident forgiveness program is sold as a way to prevent policyholders from increasing interest rates after their first out-of-control accident. The insurance company noted on its website: “Your insurance premium rate will not increase because of your first other universal, adverse accident.” However, the lawsuit argues that the company’s handling of advanced adjustments is inconsistent with its marketing and customer communications.
