The consultants listed in our tools offer different services and have different expertise and have various financial plan names. In addition, they charge or receive compensation for their services in many ways. Here is a way to understand these standards:

Advisors in the directory may provide some or all of the following services:

  • Financial Plan: These consultants can assess your current and future financial status and provide a comprehensive financial plan and make recommendations to consider your goals and values. Financial plans can also focus on specific goals or situations, such as part of separation or divorce, risk management or retirement, debt repayment, debt repayment, financial plans, to name just a few. To provide mortgages, these consultants must obtain licenses in mortgage brokers or mortgage agents in each province and territory in which they provide services.
