USLI faces lawsuit after nonprofit’s claims denied workplace coverage

According to legal documents, LINK immediately notified USLI and requested coverage under the employment practices coverage portion (EPCP) of the policy. As stated in the lawsuit, the policy is designed to protect organizations and their leaders from claims of misconduct involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Policy language cited in the filing defines a claim as “any written notice received by an insured indicating that any person or entity intends to hold the insured liable for misconduct, including employment-related misconduct.”
