Nearly a decade later, in November 2023, Luba and Trucarre filed controversial claims, alleging that Sears provided misleading information to doctors about the extent of his injury and physical limitations. The insurance company believes that these statements make further recommendations for medical and other benefits that may not be necessary between the end of 2021 and mid-2023.
