The group has been weighing a US-centric corporate structure for some time, with CEO Lard Friese (pictured above) earlier saying the move to align legal domicile, tax residence, accounting standards and regulation with its primary geographical location was expected to “simplify the Dutch global insurance group’s corporate structure”.
