Vickers Young joins Stonebridge – Mortgage Strategy

Mortgage and protection company Vickers Young has joined Stonebridge.
Founded in 2012 by managing director Corby Macdonald, the Leicestershire-based company has expanded from a single advisory business to a team of 12 people.
Vickers Young said the firm planned to recruit up to 12 advisers a year and its decision to exit the Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) was driven by the need to work with a network that both understood and supported the firm’s long-term objectives.
Vickers Young’s move follows a series of recent major developments for Stonebridge, including long-term relationships with brokerages The Mortgage Shop and Bennison Brown.
Commenting on the announcement, McDonald said: “Networks are not always aligned with the long-term goals that companies like ours want to achieve. When we began looking for a new partner, it was critical to find a network that truly understood our growth plans and was willing to work with us to deliver them.”
“With Stonebridge we immediately discovered the alignment. They share our ambitions and are already supporting our plans to expand the business, recruit additional advisers and ensure we continue to deliver the best results for our clients.”
Stonebridge CEO Rob Clifford added: “Companies like Vickers Young have a clear idea of where they want to take their business and they want a partner who can help them achieve this safely and successfully without losing any independence.”
“Our role is to provide the support, insight and infrastructure that enables ambitious companies to grow on their own terms. We are delighted to welcome Corby and the team to Stonebridge and look forward to working with them on their plans over the coming years.”
