Paragon Bank appoints Simon Glass as head of mortgage lending
Glass has more than 25 years of financial services experience, 16 of which have been spent exclusively in various roles in the mortgage lending field.
Previously, in addition to leading a mortgage brokerage firm, he held underwriting, mortgage advisor, business development manager and sales executive roles.
In his new role, Glass will lead Paragon’s operations team with a focus on delivering strong customer outcomes.
He will lead the lender’s buy-to-let underwriting, completions and client relations teams and report to Paragon Mortgage Director Lisa Steele.
Steele said: “Buy-to-let is in our DNA and we have been supporting landlords for thirty years. This is something we continue to do and an important aspect of Simon’s role is to drive positive change and build our culture of continuous improvement.”

Glass added: “I have worked in a variety of roles with lenders and have experience as a broker, so I have a good understanding of how the two work well together.”

Last week, Paragon Bank launched its multi-property BTL mortgage scheme, which allows landlords to apply for four or more properties in one application.
