One of the fascinating things I discovered in my Rich Habits research is that many self-made millionaires, especially dreamer entrepreneurs and corporate climbers, get lucky at some point.

  • 84% of self-made millionaires attribute their good luck to their daily habits
  • 87% of self-made millionaires say they are lucky
  • 92% of self-made millionaires say they create their own luck

Self-made millionaires believe that you make your own luck. There are many ways for rich people to create their own luck:

  • pursue dreams. Luck comes to dreamers who act on their dreams.
  • Build habits around your dreams. Good habits are like snowflakes on a hillside. You won’t notice the buildup until an avalanche occurs. Good habits will bring an avalanche of good luck.
  • Build relationships with the right people – Success-minded people can open doors for you by: their relation. Good Luck likes to associate with positive and optimistic people.
  • learn new things Let you see opportunities.
  • Take calculated/educated risks. A calculated risk or educational risk is a risk that requires you to do your homework. Good luck eventually comes to those who are ready to receive it.
  • Find a mentor. A mentor opens doors for you and guides you on the right path in life. They teach you what to do and what not to do. Do what will create good luck. What not to do can help you avoid bad luck. The absence of bad luck is actually a form of good luck.
  • Become a mentor. Trainees eventually become experts themselves. Like a mentor, your mentee can open doors for you.
  • Keep an optimistic and positive attitude. Negative emotions shut down part of your prefrontal cortex and effectively blind you to opportunities. Chance and luck will favor the optimists and avoid the pessimists.
  • stay focused Empowering you to accomplish and learn things that quitters can never accomplish or learn. Good luck comes to those who pay attention.
  • persist in. Focusing on one thing for many years forces you to become an expert at that thing. Luck will eventually favor those who are persistent.
