The arch segment of the third quarter
For the Insurance segment, the third-quarter loss rate included 2.2 percentage points of catastrophic activity for the year, down from 4.9 percentage points in the same period last year. The net favorable development in loss provisions in the prior year reduced the loss ratio by 0.7 percentage points compared with 0.9 percentage points in the third quarter of 2024.
