With the latest approvals, there are now 719 Class B, C and D insurance companies licensed in the Cayman Islands. According to IMAC, these companies have total premiums of approximately US$51 billion and total assets of approximately US$173 billion. The figures do not include standalone portfolios, which the group said reflects the wider scale of insurance activity in the jurisdiction.
