Atom hires 30 new employees, including two mortgage positions – Mortgage Strategy

Atom is recruiting 30 new employees for a variety of roles, including two roles within the mortgage team.
The bank is looking for two key staff for its residential and commercial lending arm after relocating from Durham to Newcastle.
The Commercial Mortgage team is looking for a Delivery Executive who can help further reduce processing times.
The Residential team is looking for an Assistant Pricing and Trade Manager to focus on cost strategy and competition.
Atom is looking to fill 30 positions, with vacancies also available across engineering, data, operations and customer support teams.
The bank said it will continue to support local initiatives and social mobility in the region through its early careers programme.
These include the Atom Futures Fund, which provides financial support to students from low-income backgrounds and looked after students with their university applications and transitions.
Atom’s headquarters have recently moved to The Pattern Shop, a Grade II listed building formerly occupied by industrial revolution pioneers Robert Stephenson & Co.
The building has been transformed to create low-carbon office space.
Atom chief executive Mark Mullen said: “Our move to Pattern Shop is more than just a change of address; it’s a bold statement about our future and our belief in the North East.
“We are investing in a space that celebrates our region’s industrial history while providing a modern, flexible and inspiring home for our people.
“This new chapter will help us attract top talent and continue to challenge the status quo, proving that truly innovative and profitable businesses can thrive in the North East.”
