Danny Ritter, vice president of state government relations for the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, said insurance companies are deeply involved in recovery efforts. “Since the wildfires began, insurance companies have been on the front lines helping customers with disaster recovery, proactively reaching out to affected customers, setting up help centers and deploying disaster teams to help residents initiate claims and secure emergency housing, food, clothing and other resources when needed,” Ritter said.
