The complaint went further, accusing the state farm of exploiting elderly people, blind people and some blind policy holders by selling unwanted, unnecessary, overpriced or inappropriate insurance products. Kellys claims that state farms use false data from credit reporting agencies to deny, reject or cancel insurance contracts, and that these practices cause disproportionate damage to black and non-white policyholders. According to the complaint, State Farm’s claim handling method relies on “cheating and beating AI algorithms as discriminatory tools,” which the plaintiff said was a bigger scrutiny than white policyholders.
