In the 19-year history of the survey, geopolitical volatility has entered the top ten global risks for the first time, and has risen sharply from its position in 2023. The current risks, along with business disruptions, regulatory changes and economic slowdowns, reflect instability in trade flows, supply chains and financial performance. This change suggests an increased demand for political risks, potential business disruptions and trade credit coverage. However, Aon found that only 14% of organizations track their top 10 risks of exposure, while only 19% used analysis to measure the value of their insurance plans.
