“The Richmond Fed recently released some economic data on the area, which shows that North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia are beyond the rest of the Southeast in terms of building permits,” said Robert Coon, vice president of Scott Insurance. He added that net migration to North Carolina now has an average of more than 100,000 population growth per year, while South Carolina and Virginia have experienced similar trends.
