“The traditional disaster model is developing,” Goto said. “We have seen advances in computing power that allow us to process more data faster and generate simulations to explain variables of climate change. This is crucial to assessing risks in areas such as hurricanes and floods. Wildfires are still difficult to predict, especially the role of human activity, but we expect AI-drian-driven simulations to give us better insights.”
