Folk2Folk appoints Chung as CEO to retire for Warren – Mortgage Strategy

Folk2folk has appointed Kawai Chung as CEO Roy Warren.
Chung has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and asset-backed investments and has joined Folk2folk.
He has held senior leadership positions at Challenger Bank, private equity firms and investment managers including SilverRock Financial Services, Instiva Capital and Ara Venn.
Warren, who has been managing director of Folk2Folk since 2019, will retire and will join the board as an independent non-executive director in January 2026.
Warren will support Chung’s role to ensure a smooth transition.
Folk2Folk also announced the appointment of Claire Richards as executive director designation.
Richards is the head of operations for the lending platform and has been working with the company since 2018.
Commenting on his appointment, Chung said: “I am honored to be joining Folk2folk at such a critical moment. The business reveals a unique space financially in the UK and I am happy to be based on this legacy.”
“My focus will be on strengthening our loan claims, deepening our broker relationships and continuing to bring value to SMEs in the UK and their introducers.”

At the beginning of this year, Folk2Folk hired Aaron Hamshire as relationship manager.
