The report highlights the ongoing challenges for commercial auto insurers. The department has now recorded underwriting losses for 14 consecutive years. In 2024, the underwriting losses reached US$4.9 billion. Over the past 11 years, the average annual underwriting loss was just over $2.9 billion.
