Smyth has over 30 years of industry experience and has been working at AXA XL since 2007. Since 2018, he has led the Americas casualty team, overseeing major risk management, multinational captives, railways and eight underwriting teams in the United States and Bermuda. He will continue to lead the American casualties until his successor is named.
