Virginia court denies workers’ claims for injuries from other places

Under Virginia law, injuries suffered during commuting are generally not compensated unless the employer provides transportation, pays for travel time, requires a specific route or assigns work-related tasks during commuting. In this case, evidence suggests that mission diagnosis does not own, control or maintain crosswalks or parking lots and does not require employees to use any specific parking areas or routes.
