With the summer over and kids back to school, Labor Day (on the first Monday in September) is a busy weekend for many. Labor Day falls on Monday, September 1, 2025. Knowing which services remain open can help you plan effectively.

Will the bank open on Labor Day 2025?

No, the bank is closed on Labor Day. This applies to major national banks such as Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo and most regional institutions.

Face-to-face services and branch operations will not be available. However, ATM and mobile/online banking are still available for basic transactions. Remember that deposits or other actions on that day usually take place until the next working day to process.

Credit unions will also be closed on Labor Day (September 1, 2025). The holiday schedules of various credit unions confirmed the closure.
