Allstate Foundation Youths Get University Service Grant

Northbrook, Illinois. Allstate Foundation,and Expand the Center for Leadership and Opportunitythrough the University Services Grant Program, has been awarded to 65 universities and universities across the country. These grants are designed to inspire youth leadership on campus services programs that enable students to lead meaningful change in the community. Now, the program has been awarded over 100 agencies over $1.5 million in the second year to support and promote the service and leadership of young leaders.

“The Allstate Foundation provides young change-makers with the resources and tools to bring their ideas to life and make an impact in their schools, communities and beyond,” said Alex Quian, head of youth competency at Allstate Foundation. “These schools are part of our national movement to enable youth to serve and improve communities. We put funds directly into and empower the future of the United States, while also inspiring other young people to become the positive influence they are in.”

How to pay for university service grants

Select a grant recipient based on the application process, which includes submitting a recommendation on how the institution can use funds to increase campus services for youth leaders to align with one of the following strategies:

  • Micro-cargo: Provide new service programs directly to students.
  • Access support: Increase students’ chances of gaining service experience.
  • Increased impact: Enhance the impact of existing service activities.
