Disaster losses fell 53.6% year-on-year to $808 million in the second quarter. In six months, disaster losses were $2.629 billion, slightly higher than $2.569 billion. The net losses were attributed to the increase of $241 million and $437 million in the first half of the year, excluding asbestos and environmental liabilities.
