Paradigm Adds Ecological Building Association to Lender Group – Mortgage Strategy

Paradigm has added the Eco-Building Association to its lender group, thus bringing a range of green home loans to the network.
Mortgage Club Some dealers say the partnership provides its member companies with exclusive access to common residences, communities and the scope of purchasing mortgage products, all designed to support borrowers with positive environmental or social impacts in their properties or projects.
The Building Association caters to buyers of all kinds of borrowers and properties, from buildings to Passivhaus standards to non-standard building residences, real-time/work units or real estate with agricultural relations.
It also supports community-led housing, including housing cooperatives and co-living programs.
The lender uses a customized, case-by-case underwriting method, which says “is useful for consultants working with borrowers working on non-standard or complex projects.”
Its loans are in the UK, including rural and remote areas.
The association also offers a C-for-money incentive that rewards borrowers with discounted mortgage rates based on their improvements to the energy efficiency of their property.
Paradigm Mortgage Richard Howes (pictured) said: “We are excited to be the first mortgage club issuer to add the Eco Building Society to our lender group.
“Their flexibility, custom underwriting and a deep understanding of sustainable housing means they can support a wide range of projects that other lenders may struggle to consider.”
Daniel Capstick, senior mortgage products and proposition manager at Ecobuilding Association, added: “As more people want to live more sustainable and lower their carbon footprint, we know brokers can help us reach a larger audience.”
