Ever feel like you just want to keep up, but everything is still like chaos? I’ve been there, too. There was a time in my life that I felt overwhelmed (which is normal!) – My financial situation was a mess, my schedule was everywhere, and I had no clear goals. I know I need to change, but I’m not sure where to start.
Over the years, I have learned that bringing your life together is not about being perfect—it is about small and intentional changes that add up over time. The best part? You don’t have to do everything at once.

Here is my list of ways to work.
1. Set clear goals
Keeping your life together starts with setting clear goals – both short-term and long-term goals.
Think about what you really want. What does success look like to you? Write it down.
Big dreams can feel terrible. I suggest you break them down into smaller steps you can do every day, week or month. This makes them less terrifying and more feasible. For example, you don’t have to say you want to save $10,000 this year, but you can say “My goal is to save $834 a month.”
And, keep the targets where you can see them. Put them in a refrigerator or journal and you will see a lot because it can help you stay focused and motivated. For example, you could make a visual board that cuts the picture to show your target and stick it to the board; then place it on a mirror in the refrigerator or corridor (or where you look a lot!). 2. Organize your living space
Look around. Is it chaos? A clean space can help you gain more control over your life.
Here are some tips for getting started:
- Clean your bedroom and organize it. Let go of your clothes, throw away what you don’t need, and make bed every morning to start your day.
- Solve your work area. Clear the table, keep only the frequently used items, and place the pen, paper, and other supplies in the container.
- Organize common areas such as living rooms and kitchens. Find the location of everything and put it back when you have finished using them.
- Try to use something to digitize. Scan the important papers and save them on your computer. This can free up a lot of space.
- Use tags to mark where things go. This makes it easier to put projects to find them later. You can use a tag manufacturer, just write it on tape or buy a pre-made tag on Amazon.
Develop the habit of sorting out a few minutes a day. This will prevent the chaos from piled up. You will feel better back to a clean space.
3. Create daily work

Here are some tips for making good daily work:
- Wake up at the same time every day
- Limit screen time in the morning
- Make a weekly meal plan

- Setting up a specific time to check email
Start small with your daily work. Choose one or two things a day. As you get used to, you can add more. Remember that your daily routine should work for you, so there is no daily routine list that works for everyone.

4. Make a budget plan

Making a budget is an important step in keeping your life organized, because it can help you stop going beyond your swing, realizing where you need to cut and learning how to better manage your money.
You can first list your monthly income and expenses (take a piece of paper, or do this on your computer – it’s not necessarily difficult!). This gives you a clear idea of where your money is going.
I recommend you track your monthly expenses and write down every purchase for every purchase, no matter how big or small. You will most likely be surprised by what you find and how much you spend.

5. Prioritize self-care and your health
Taking good care of yourself is important to keep your life on track. You need to focus on your body and mind to feel your best condition.
Some things you might want to try include:
- Eat foods that give you energy, such as fruits and vegetables, and a balanced diet.
- Even if you don’t walk far, you have to move every day.
- Get 7-9 hours of sleep every night (set before bed and stick with it).
- Go to the doctor. Go to check and deal with any health issues immediately.
- Find ways to relax and reduce stress, such as deep breathing, yoga or just spending time for yourself.
- Try hobbies you think you like to do, such as watercolors or hiking.
- Think more positively and try to get rid of negative thoughts.
- And, if you need to talk to someone, don’t be afraid to find a therapist or get other professional help.

6. Start your daily diary
Writing in a diary every day can help you integrate life, which is an easy way to track your thoughts and feelings.
You can get a laptop first or use an app on your phone (although I do think getting a physics book might be better for most people, so you can spend less time on your phone).
Then, choose a writing time every day, just like before or after waking up or after bed.
You can write things like what happens in the day, your goals and dreams, things that satisfy you recently, what you want to be grateful for (you can even start a gratitude diary!) and so on.
Looking back at old entries can show you how much you are growing. This is a great way to see progress when you work hard to make your life party.

7. Better manage your time
One thing I did for me was a great help in bringing my life together, and was finding better time to manage it. Having a lot of time all day is terrible and can really stop you from reaching your goal!
Making your life together means making the most of your time. Here are some tips:
- Start by using tools like calendars or planners to track your tasks and appointments.
- Try to limit time, where specific time is reserved for different activities. This can help you stay focused and get more done.
- Avoid doing multiple things at once. Instead, you focus on one task at a time. You will do it faster and do it better.
- Set clear limits on your time. Learn to say no to unimportant things. This helps protect your schedule from unnecessary disruption.
- On-call list every day and stick with it. Put the most important tasks first. Get things straight when you finish them – it feels great!
- Take a short break between tasks to charge. Even a few minutes can help you stay fresh and productive throughout the day. For me, after a few hours, I really enjoyed taking a walk. This is a great way to take a day apart and clear my head.
- Try to wake up early. This gives you an extra time in the morning to prepare for your day without rushing.
8. Regular exercise
Regular exercise during your daily activities can have a significant impact on your life. It’s not just looking good—it’s also about feeling good!
You don’t need to spend a few hours in the gym every day. You only need 15-30 minutes of activities to start, such as a quick walk near you or a short yoga video at home.
One way to make it fun is to find the activities you like. Maybe you like to dance, swim or participate in sports. When you have fun, you are more likely to keep it.
One thing I have to do is get at least 10,000 steps a day. I use an affordable step tracker, like one of them. I bought a pedometer because I don’t want to connect to my phone.

Try reading a self-help book every month and note down the main ideas you have learned. Then put these ideas into practice. You may be surprised at the extent to which you can learn and grow.

Reducing screen time can help you get organized. There is too much time on your phone and computer to eat your day.
Ordinary people spend several hours watching TV or scrolling their phones every day. This time it can be used for anything else – like spending time with friends and family, taking a walk, cooking delicious meals, increasing income or learning new things.
Some ways to reduce screen time include:
- When you are with friends, please let go of your phone. This allows you to prefer each other’s companies.
- Going out is a great way to reduce screen time. Walk or ride a bicycle in the park.
- Try playing board games instead of video games.
- Cooking is another screen-free activity. Learn new recipes or teach your child how to make something simple.
Remember, sometimes it can be boring. When you don’t look at the screen, your mind lingers and comes up with new ideas. This can lead to creativity and problem solving.
