Now, hearing my voice: When I first heard Kroger Boost, I was very suspicious. It feels like this is just a way for Kroger to make money, and I’m not interested. But then some readers tried it here and came back and told me that I had to check it out at least.

Why I Love My Kroger to Improve Membership!

When Kroger operated a $20 discount in Kroger in January 2024, I signed up. I think $39 a year is worth a try! I ended up being shocked at how quickly I fell in love with it! Actually, from my complimentary praise on Kroger on social media almost every week, you would think I was a paid ambassador for the Kroger Boost comments. But no, just a very happy client who can’t keep a good thing for himself!

Here are five of my favorite things about Kroger Buster:

1. Dual fuel point = large gas savings

We all know that gasoline is not cheap these days. With Boost, you can earn double fuel points every time you shop, allowing you to scrape up to $1 per gallon of fuel points at the Kroger Fuel Centers and Componated Shell Stations. This brings more money back into your pocket.

Here is how it works:

Every 100 fuel points = 10 cents per gallon at the pump.
You can redeemed up to 1,000 points per day, up to 1 dollar per gallon (if you are filling in a minivan or SUV, you’re winning a huge win!).
One redemption covers primary fuel – up to 35 gallons.

Thanks to Kroger Boost, we saved at least $450+ in gasoline in 2024 alone. I don’t know the exact amount (Is anyone aware of if there is a way to watch online? I tried looking for total savings but couldn’t find it, and although it does say we saved $976 so far in 2025, thanks to Boost, that also includes savings far outweighing gas savings!)

If you really want to maximize things, deliver your order on Friday and clip the 4x fuel point coupon and you will get 5x fuel points. Then, save it and then fill it, make sure to use the full 35 gallons. (I have a friend who takes two cars with one and loads the next one by the same fuel order and then fills up 35 gallons!)

2. Free, fast delivery = no longer “forget milk” emergency situations

If you spend $35 or more (I do it every week when I order groceries), your groceries can be delivered to your doorstep for free!

And if you choose delivery through Kroger’s own refrigerated truck, dumping is not allowed. A lot of delivery is done through Instacart or other services Do Still expect tilt, so be sure to check when to order.

Note: Some areas are only delivered through Instacart. You can see if the Kroger delivery truck option is available in your area by placing a test order and seeing if Instacart and Kroger delivery truck options are available. If you have both, you will know that there are Kroger delivery trucks in your area.

I recommend ordering through Kroger delivery trucks only, as I find it usually is better, as these drivers know that the Kroger store is much better and they can take care of them in time if there are any problems. Once, some eggs broke my order before delivery and the driver removed them from my order, and did not make me pay for the eggs, even if only a few were broken.

Like a loyal shopper, it’s like a “thank you” hug. Many additional digital coupons will be used for very amazing deals, limited to five!

4. Free streaming subscription

When you sign up for Boost, you can choose between subscribing to Disney+, Hulu or ESPN+.
Essential members keep it for six months, while senior members keep it forever.

That’s it few Streaming bills to worry about, spend more nights curl on the sofa and watching your favorite movies and TV shows.

5. Flash sales at checkout

If you order through a Kroger delivery truck, you will usually be offered Flash sales at checkout. These are similar to in-store clearance transactions offered by Kroger.

With these I have obtained some amazing prices, especially on natural and organic items. You never know what they will have, but it’s always worth a look until you check out!

There are a few things to know (before diving)

If you’re looking for a super honest Kroger boost review, then you know I’ll shoot you forever! So here is my opinion on whether it is worth it…

If you are a regular Kroger shopper who loves free shipping, saving gas, extra deals, and some extra bonus flow, then, honestly, yes.

If you can accept the next day’s delivery and still want to save gas and streaming privileges at a lower price, the Boost Essential is great.
