“For a long time, brokers and agents said that insurance companies are actually irrelevant because they aren’t actually risk-oriented, they don’t offer what we bring to clients and that they are excluded more than they cover,” she said. “To be relevant to our clients and the brokers and agents that work with those clients, you have to be willing to take risks, but you have to do it in an educated, technical way so that you are there when things do go wrong and build trust with clients, brokers or agents.”
