Why build good credit matters
Many landlords will check your credit history to see if you have had financial difficulties in the past. So, before you make a lease application, please request a copy of your credit report from one of the Canadian credit reporting agencies, Equifax or Transunion. This way, you can make sure that the report does not contain any errors and that you will find out what your credit score is.
Even if you never have financial problems, you may be surprised to find a poor credit score due to a lack of credit history. If so, you can start building a good credit by getting a credit card and always paying your bills on time.
Now, decide your life situation
If you find that it’s not short after processing the numbers, you may need a roommate (or two!) to help allocate the fees. While sharing a place with your roommate may not be the case with the adult self you imagine (especially if you want more privacy), at least you will be in good shape.

The characteristics of urban centers are often more expensive than those of suburban areas.
So if you are willing to live far from the city, you can save you hundreds of dollars in rent. (However, in this case, don’t forget to calculate the cost of any longer commutes, if applicable.)
Then, depending on your budget, you can narrow your search down to the type of property you can afford, such as an apartment, apartment or one floor of a house.
