6 strategies to start your morning success (free!)

Trying to go through a successful morning routine? Try these six strategies to change my life! I promise they work!

Is your morning more like a crazy dash than a peaceful start to the day? I’ve been there. I know I hit SN’s feet too many times, rolled out of the bed and felt behind before the day started.

But here is good news: there is no need to be that way.

Over the years, I have found that some simple transformations in my morning routine have become world difference. Not every strategy works for everyone or every season, but if you feel tired, unmotivated, or just staying in the morning, try one or two of them. You might be surprised at the differences they make not only in your mornings, but throughout your day!

1. Go to bed when you feel tired (no electricity!)

I used to stay up late to tell myself that I “just need to do one more thing” or “I should have a little downtime”. But usually, I’m just chasing the second wind. I always pay for the next day.

Now, when my body starts giving me that gentle nudge (you know the one with heavy eyelids, yawning, brain fog), I’m honored. I won’t wait for that second wind. I turned off my laptop, put down the phone, and went to bed.

This is simple, but powerful. The earlier I go to bed, the more I get rest and motivation in the morning.

2. Get up immediately after the alarm sounds

I know. It’s very difficult. But, punching your nose over and over will only make you feel more dull and scattered.

if you real Want to change your morning, try it: When your alarm sounds, throw back the cover and stand up. Don’t even think about it. Just move. You may not want to do this at first, but you will thank yourself later!

3. Go out and let the sun awaken you

There is fresh air and sunshine of your eyes on your face, which starts your day (both physically and mentally, it’s better than scrolling over and turning on your phone right away!).

Even if you’re only two or three minutes outside of the first thing, it can help adjust the internal clock, boost your energy, and set a positive tone for the day. What if the sun hasn’t risen yet? Skip the screen and wait for any device to turn on until you have natural light.

4. Start with quiet + exercise

Before you dig into your day’s needs, please yes And fill your soul in the day ahead.

To me, it looks like reading my Bible, praying for the details of my day, seeking God’s help, and releasing anything I feel stressed or anxious about. Also, I like to start a new day – usually easy walking around nearby or on a treadmill. If I’m on a treadmill, that’s when I’m going to read a little bit (yes, I walk and read at the same time!).

It doesn’t have to be a long or complicated routine – just helps you start your day with a good mindset!

5. Protect your first hour from noise and screen

This is a game-changer. Don’t want the first thing. Do not check emails. Don’t open Instagram.

The first hour of your day is Precious. Protect it. Let your mind be free from the noise so you can think clearly, process it intentionally, and approach the rest of your day with peace instead of panic.

You will be surprised when you don’t start a day reacting to other people’s noise.

I use the Opal app on my phone so that my social media (and most other) apps will work until 6:30 am!

6. Eat a protein-rich breakfast before coffee + hydration

Give your body some fuel before having a cup of coffee. A high-protein breakfast, even a simple egg or Greek yogurt, can help stabilize your energy and avoid morning crashes.

And don’t forget the water. Hydration first thing helps awaken the system, digest and flush the toxins.

Want to really cheer up? Try not to drink coffee for a while. I never thought I would say that, but after cutting it, I felt so better. I slept better, I was calmer, and I no longer felt dependent on its function. I still love peeling latte here and there, but it’s no longer a daily necessity, it’s a feeling of freedom!
