Is this a good time to buy Bitcoin?

You will notice that over the course of five years, the Gold and S&P 500 are neck and neck, and BTC is amplified in advance. By contrast, gold and Bitcoin have been the neck and leaders over the past year, while the S&P 500 has lagged behind. Below are two charts representing the data for two periods.

The key point of these data is: both gold and BTC are good diversifiers. In the past few years, investors have preferred diversification with gold over BTC, mainly due to wild volatility in the cryptocurrency market. However, as institutional adoption grows, volatility in BTC is declining. According to ARK Invest, BTC’s implementation has been declining since 2011 and now it is at its all-time lowest level, with a top drop over the years. This is the look.

The most important thing for me is: BTC may increasingly be used as portfolio diversity or as a substitute for gold due to the following reasons:

  • BTC’s strong returns
  • Reduce volatility
  • Easy to invest with crypto ETFs
  • ETFs are eligible for registered accounts such as TFSA, RRSP, Resp and FHSA

Canada (and the world)’s first Solana ETF

With the launch of the world’s first Solana (SOL) ETFS, Canada continues to innovate and lead in cryptocurrencies. Not only one, but four Solana ETFs were launched on April 16, 2025. This only makes SOL the second Altcoin obtained through ETFs (after Ethereum). AltCoin (“alternative coin”) brings all cryptocurrencies to all cryptocurrencies except BTC.

Solana (Sol) is a fast, high-performance, low-income blockchain that is widely regarded as the top competitor of Ethereum. Developers build Web3 projects on the Solana blockchain. Real-world applications running on Solana include non-killable tokens (NFTS), brand loyalty programs and tokenization of real estate assets. (In) the famous $trump crypto token built on the Solana blockchain.

The Solana blockchain was launched in March 2020 and is the world’s sixth largest cryptocurrency with market value through market value. As of April 28, 2025, Solana’s market value was approximately US$75.7 billion.

So far, two new ETFs (SOLL and SOLQ) have also provided investors with points rewards. Engagement is a way to earn cryptocurrency yields to increase returns. If Sol is rising for a long time, investors can benefit in two ways: the capital gains obtained from the price of the underlying Sol coins and the deposit rewards received by the fund and pass it on to the investors.
