Good Work Team Nominations: Allstate and NACDA Pays a Tribute to Spring Student Athletes Make a Difference

Northbrook, Illinois, April 8, 2025 – Allstate and National University Athletics Directors (NACDA) today announced the 207 student-athlete nominations for the Allstate Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring), celebrating their leadership beyond sports. This year, the program has been expanded to commemorate the commitment of male and female student athletes from all sports and divisions to their commitment to community service, academic excellence and athletic achievement.
“These extraordinary young men and women define the meaning of leadership and service – whether it’s pulling fire trucks to raise funds for pediatric cancer research, leading the range-based campaign to eliminate plastic waste, or winning an EMT certification in times of crisis to assist their communities,” said Elizabeth Brady, chief marketing, customer and communications staff at Allstate. “We respect their unwavering commitment to community service.”
Meet the nominee
The 2025 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring) nominees focus on student-athletes who showcase the community awesome services in 13 college spring sports including baseball, softball, tennis, golf, golf, hockey, track and field, track and field and more. Nominees and their main reasons for community services include:

- Kaylee Hull: CSU Dominguez Hills | Softball | Elderly Care
- Lionel McPhaull: Arizona Christian University | Men’s Outdoor Track and Field | Youth Guidance
- Jami Morris: Penn State University | Women’s Golf | Cancer Research
- Tim Nicholson: George Washington University | Baseball | Child Disease Support – Pediatric Health and Health

A distinguished sports director selection committee, former athletes and industry leaders will select the final 20-member team (10 female and 10 male student-athletes) to be announced on April 29. Expand all sports recognition
The Allstate NACDA Good Works team announced in December that 60 student-athletes are recognized each year in the fall, winter and spring. The first winter team recently received 193 nominations, with outstanding Auburn gymnast Sophia Groth being named the first female captain of all time to be named after a team of outstanding works. As chairman of the Auburn Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Groth advocates for community outreach, advocating for parents of students who complete their degree through programs including infant steps.
