Kentucky bill proposes expansion for workers in PTSD among first responders

House Bill 1228 creates a courage for Kentucky’s long-term rule to exclude psychological harm from workers’ compensation unless it is directly caused. The bill applies to police, firefighters, emergency medical staff, front-line state workers and members of the Kentucky National Guard, which introduces the presumption of compensability for PTSD diagnosis caused by work-related trauma.
