Looking for easy ways to save your energy or electricity bills? We surveyed our Facebook followers (and then again here!) and received a lot of creative cost-cutting ideas!
Check out the following 35+ ways to save your home energy bill!
- Plug the device into the power strip and turn it off when you are not going home or sleeping.
- Use more energy-saving bulbs in all lights and lights.
- When it’s time to replace appliances, look for energy-efficient appliances – maybe even reduce taxes!
- Insert only when you use certain appliances, such as coffee makers and toasters.
- Dry laundry on sunny days (this can save money whether you have gas or electric motor).
- Borrow or buy a kilowatt meter to test which equipment and equipment uses the most power and unplug when not in use.

- In winter, use a fireplace or wood stove to heat your home.

- Wash laundry with cold water to save electricity bills.
- Wear clothes 2 or 3 times before washing.
- During the drying cycle, open the door to the dishwasher. The heat/steam accumulated during washing will dry your dishes.
- Turn off the light when not in use.
- At night (depending on your residence), reduce the heat (or turn off).
- If you have a programmable thermostat, set it as a plan.
- Open windows when possible to cool the house.
- Cover windows and doors with plastic/blankets to keep your home warm.
- Boil water or steam for warmth.
- Use the oven door to warm it up.
- Use velvet boards on the bed for extra warmth.
- Put straw or snow on the base/foundation of the house.
- Use a space heater.
- Sleep on an electric blanket.
- Drink warm drinks (tea, coffee, hot cocoa).
