Zurich reported that farmers’ exchanges face estimated pre-tax losses in California wildfires in 2025, with an additional $250 million in recovery premiums. Zurich’s own contacts, including farmers’ RE, are estimated to be $200 million. Despite these losses, the company’s strong capital base ensures its ability to manage such events.
