The BMA said the stress test results confirmed the Bermuda market’s ability to absorb financial market volatility, catastrophic events and other underwriting loss scenarios. Notwithstanding the assumed severe losses, Bermuda insurers and reinsurers have demonstrated sufficient capital to meet policyholder obligations and regulatory requirements.
